Safety Tips
Market Hub does not hold the money and does not deliver the item. You and the other person do that. Treat it like a street market with a chat thread.
Buyers
- Read reviews if they exist. A new account can still be honest — just be more careful.
- Ask about battery health, year, extras, and damage before you travel.
- Meet at a mall, café, or police-station parking. Not a quiet house.
- Pay after you have held the item. Not “to reserve it”. Not gift cards. Not crypto.
- For cars: papers, test drive, and a mechanic if the money is serious.
Sellers
- A buyer who will not talk in the app and only wants your bank PIN is a problem.
- “My driver will collect, overpay, you refund the extra” is a scam.
- Do not release the item until the money is in your account and you have checked it.
Stop and report
- Pressure to pay now, OTP requests, or a price that is a joke.
- Tap Report on the listing. Email support@markethubafrica.com if it is urgent.
- If money already left: local police. Keep the chat and the receipts.
