Fees & Pricing
Everything you pay (and don't pay) to use MarketHub. We're transparent about costs — no hidden fees, no surprise commissions, no recurring subscriptions.
Standard Listings — Free
- Posting any product or service listing is free.
- No commission on completed sales — what the buyer pays goes entirely to the seller.
- No subscription fee to access the marketplace, message buyers, or use Wishlist / Followers.
- Free for buyers and sellers across all 23 supported African markets.
Boost Packages (Optional)
- A Boost moves your listing to the top of its search and category results for a fixed duration.
- Typical durations: 7, 14, and 30 days. Specific packages and prices appear on the post form in your local currency.
- Prices set per-currency by MarketHub admins — check the current rates in the Boost picker on any listing.
- One-time payment — no auto-renewal, no recurring charge.
- Each boost request is reviewed and approved by the admin team, usually within 24 hours.
Featured Hero Ads (Premium)
- The premium tier appears in the homepage hero carousel — full hero photo, custom CTA, top-of-page placement.
- Five slots per country at any time — once a country's slots are full, new applicants wait for a slot to expire.
- Higher cost than boost packages, but the highest-visibility option on MarketHub.
- Apply through the dashboard's Boost form, marked "Premium tier" — admin reviews creative + approves placement.
Standard Sponsored Strip
- Mid-tier promotion — appears in the horizontal "Featured today" strip below the homepage hero.
- Twenty slots per country — broader reach than premium, lower cost.
- Best for sustained mid-tier campaigns where you want consistent exposure over a longer window.
- Same approval workflow as boost packages.
Payment Methods
- Mobile money: M-Pesa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda), MTN MoMo (Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda), Airtel Money.
- Bank transfer — attach the proof-of-payment screenshot to the boost request for fastest approval.
- Transactions between buyer and seller are handled off-platform — MarketHub does not currently process direct buyer-to-seller payments.
