What We Collect
- Account info: name, email, phone, country, profile photo, password (stored as a salted bcrypt hash — never plain text).
- Content you post: listings, photos, prices, messages, reviews, follows, reports.
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, approximate geolocation from IP, pages viewed, timestamps.
How We Use It
- To operate the marketplace — show listings, deliver messages, process boost requests.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure (rate-limiting, fraud detection, 2FA).
- To send transactional notifications about your listings, messages, and account changes.
- To enforce our Terms and respond to reports of abuse.
- To improve the Service — aggregated analytics and performance monitoring.
Your Rights
- Access the personal information we hold about you — request via support@markethubafrica.com.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data from Settings or by emailing us.
- Delete your account and data — Settings → Danger Zone, or email support@markethubafrica.com.
- Receive a portable copy of your data on request.
- Withdraw consent for any optional processing.
